Bangladesh: Visitors: Chairman of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority and SARE Team Members Visited Activities of SAFBIN Project

Dr. Akram H. Chowdhury (Ex Member of Parliament), Honorable Chairman of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA), Rajshahi, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, SARE team members namely Mr. Pranab Ranjan Chowdhury, Mr. Sunil Simon and Ms. Amrita Rejina Rozario visited SAFBIN project on January 27, 2019. The team members has visited cow shed improvement for promote use of organic inputs and nutrient recycling, use and recycling of farm byproducts, earthworm composting and participated in a meeting with small holder farmer’s collectives. They were accompanied by Caritas staff members namely Mr. Francis Atul Sarker, Executive Director, Caritas Bangladesh, Mr. Sukleash George Costa, Regional Director of Caritas Rajshahi Region, Mr. Augustin Baroi, Program Manager of SAFBIN project and S M Zillur Rahaman, National Coordinator of SAFBIN project. The aim of the visit was to know the procedures of activities, connections with ecology and biodiversity, uses and how the small holder farmers were benefited through the interventions of SAFBIN project. Besides, the team had a short discussion session with the small holder farmers on their activities at the Sormongla village of Paba sub-district of Rajshahi district. The team encourage all the SAFBIN staff members to continue serving people in need for the betterment of their life. Feedback

  • Caritas Bangladesh implemented climate resilience agricultural project for improving food and nutritional security which made exceptional as no other NGOs have implemented such kind of diversified activities.

  • To focus more and more connections and proper use of ecology and biodiversity be ensured
