Caritas Nepal conducted the third National Level Review and Planning workshop from 22-24 January at Caritas Nepal regional office, Nawalparasi. The participants included the Program Manager, Research Officer, District Field Officers and Village Resource Persons. The participants reviewed the activities uptil December 2019 and presented the results of each activities. Further, the discussions concentrated on the need to coordinate and receive maximum support with the local government.
The second part of the review meeting focused on updates from the district teams on the recent need assessment conducted to gather different information on disasters in the rural municipalities and municipalities where SAFBIN program is being conducted. The reason to conduct this information was to develop a new project proposal on Disaster Risk Reduction ( DRR). The modality on implement a proposed Disaster Risk Reduction project in SAFBIN locations and community partners was also discussed in detail. The project is also going to be supported by Caritas Austria. The meeting realized that the information collected from the FDGs in the rural/ municipalities were insufficient thus a new checklist was developed to collect more information through in depth interview ( IDI ) with the focal personals in the local government.
